With their breakthrough project named Q-Med, the team has officially received an invitation from the Organizing Committee to advance to the Final Round of The 2nd ACIR+ Program Incubation of Start-Ups and Innovation 2026 (shortened as APISI 2026).
About APISI 2026
APISI is a prestigious regional pitching competition initiated by the ASEAN Consortium for Innovation and Research (ACIR+). It is organized annually by the Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU) – The University of Danang, in collaboration with the Vietnam Association of Faculties-Institutes-Schools-Universities of ICT (FISU). The program is proudly supported and sponsored by major international organizations, including the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), Hanwha Life Group, and ChildFund (ChorogUsan).
The Final Round will take place live on July 11th – 12th, 2026, in Da Nang City. Competing teams will participate in poster exhibitions, project pitching, and live product demonstrations before a distinguished panel of international judges, experts, and venture capitalists.
Q-Med Project: AI-Powered Cardiovascular Health Monitoring for the Community
The Q-Med application is an innovative AI-integrated mobile health-monitoring platform. The project was developed to tackle the real-world challenges of hospital overcrowding and the high mortality rates associated with cardiovascular diseases in Vietnam.

Utilizing advanced Remote Photoplethysmography (rPPG) and PCG technologies, Q-Med transforms the camera of any standard smartphone into a non-contact medical device. Within just 30 seconds, the app analyzes microvascular color changes on the face and heartbeat sounds to accurately measure vital signs, including Heart Rate, Blood Pressure, and Stress Levels. With its core advantage of “Zero hardware cost,” Q-Med serves as a personal medical assistant, empowering users to proactively monitor their health and detect potential anomalies early on.
Strategic Team Alignment for the Grand Finale
To prepare for the intense competition against top-tier universities across the ASEAN+ region, the team has established a highly professional division of roles:

- Luu The Ha (Team Leader / Main Pitcher): Manages overall progress, product ideation, and business models. Ha will deliver the main pitch entirely in English, leading the narrative and capturing the judges’ attention from problem statement to project vision.
- Hoang Manh Cuong (Lead Developer / Tech Demo & Stage Manager): In charge of the core application development. On stage, Cuong will manage the slides and operate the Live Demo on a physical device, ensuring smooth projection onto the grand screen in perfect sync with the pitch.
- Nguyen Thanh Trung (AI Engineer / Q&A Lead): Responsible for researching and integrating the Med-Gemma AI model. Trung is designated to lead the English Q&A session, handling technical questions regarding rPPG/PCG algorithms, AI accuracy, and medical data security.
Wishes from the Institute of International Training
Advancing to the Finals of a major international startup platform like APISI 2026 is not only a proud milestone for Ha, Cuong, and Trung but also a testament to the high training quality, innovative spirit, and global readiness of IIT students and the broader ICTU community.
We wish the Q-Med team the utmost confidence, seamless teamwork, and a brilliant performance in Da Nang this upcoming July 11th-12th! The faculty and students of ICTU are always behind you, cheering you on every step of the way!
