International Scientific Seminar: Updating Advanced Technology Trends with Experts from Kyonggi University, South Korea

On the afternoon of August 28, 2026, the University of Information and Communication Technology (ICTU) hosted an international scientific seminar focusing on Information Systems Analysis and Business Process Intelligence at Hall 5, Building C1. Jointly organized by the Faculty of Information Technology and the Office of Science, Technology & International Cooperation, the event attracted a large number of faculty members, graduate students, and undergraduates, including students from the Institute of International Training.

The seminar featured two distinguished guest speakers from Kyonggi University, South Korea:

  • Kim Kwanghoon – Senior expert in the field of Information Technology;
  • Pham Dinh Lam – Researcher at Kyonggi University.

Representing ICTU were members of the Board of Rectors, leaders from the Office of Science, Technology & International Cooperation, the Board of Deans of the Faculty of Information Technology, as well as numerous lecturers and students.

Updating Modern Technological Insights

The seminar featured two in-depth keynote presentations:

  1. Keynote 1: “Information Systems Analysis and Design” presented by Prof. Kim Kwanghoon. The talk provided a comprehensive overview and advanced methodologies for analyzing and architecting modern information systems, highlighting strategies to optimize data and enhance operational efficiency.
  2. Keynote 2: “Business Process Intelligence” presented by Dr. Pham Dinh Lam. This presentation focused on leveraging artificial intelligence and data analytics in business process management, offering practical insights into solving real-world corporate challenges through technology.

Opening Opportunities for Research Collaboration and Postgraduate Scholarships

Following the technical sessions, an engaging Open Discussion took place between the speakers and ICTU participants. Faculty members and students actively discussed potential international research collaborations and strategies for publishing in prestigious global journals with Prof. Kim Kwanghoon and Dr. Pham Dinh Lam.

Notably, the representatives from Kyonggi University shared valuable details regarding postgraduate scholarship opportunities (Master’s and Ph.D. programs) tailored for ICTU students and faculty. This presents an exceptional pathway for academic advancement and international integration, particularly for students enrolled in international training programs.

The seminar concluded successfully, contributing to the enhancement of academic and research standards within the Faculty of Information Technology, while further strengthening the collaborative partnership between ICTU and Kyonggi University, South Korea.
