Students of The Institute of International Training getting first place in the ICTU Student English Olympiad 2024
The ICTU Student English Olympiad is an annual competition, held every year with the goal of creating a healthy playground for students of Thai Nguyen University of Information and Communication Technology (ICTU), awaking students’ passion, encouraging them to pursue learning English.
The ICTU English Olympiad 2024 attracted over 2000 contestants to sign up for the competition. Through an online test and a direct test on computer on-site, 50 of the most excellent students successfully qualified for the Finals on March 27th 2024 evening at the multipurpose hall. Attending the competition were the representatives of the Sponsor – Ha Ninh Foreign Language Center, representatives of the School Youth Union’s executive committee, Teachers from the department of Foreign Languages, The Institute of International Training, the contestants and many who came to cheer for them.

Through extremely engaging and exciting competitions, the best 12 contestants were selected and received prizes from the competition including: 1 First place Prize, 2 Second place Prizes, 3 Third place Prizes and 6 Consolation Prizes.
Participating in this year’s competition, The Institute of International Training(IIT) had 5 students getting into the Finals and excellently winning 4 prizes:
- 1 First place Prize won by Dương Lê Thưởng – K22B International Information Technalogy Class.
- 1 Second place Prize won by Mai Quý Long – K22 KNU Software Engineering Class.
- 2 Consolation Prizes won by Nguyễn Hoà Thuận – K20 KNU Software Engineering and Nguyễn Minh Hiếu – K22A International Information Technology Class.

The results of the Students of the Institute of International Training further affirms that environment is an extremely important element in learning English.With the training program of studying in English, listening, speaking English everyday and communicating regularly with international students, students of the Institute of International Training have an extremely ideal environment to develop their foreign language skills.
