IIT CONGRATULATES ICTU ON THE SUCCESSFUL LAUNCH OF THE “TRIPLE HELIX” ECOSYSTEM: BRINGING REAL-WORLD PRACTICE TO UNIVERSITY LECTURE HALLS

On the morning of July 4, 2026, the University of Information and Communication Technology (ICTU) – Thai Nguyen University officially held the Launching Ceremony of the State – University – Enterprise Cooperation Ecosystem to serve training, scientific research, innovation, digital transformation, and cultural development.

On this significant milestone, the International Training Institute (IIT) wishes to extend its warmest congratulations to the Board of Presidents, faculty, corporate partners, and all students of ICTU. The debut of this comprehensive “Triple Helix” model is not only a major leap forward for ICTU but also a shining example of integrating higher education with real-world practice.

The Practical “Triple Helix” Model: Bringing Businesses Directly into the Classroom

The cooperation ecosystem at ICTU was built to realize the major guidelines of the Party and State regarding the development of science and technology, innovation, and high-quality human resources. The most significant difference of this model is the shift from isolated collaborative activities to a continuously co-operated model that places the learner at the center.

The Corporate Cooperation Space, spanning nearly 2,500 square meters right within the campus, serves as the heart of the ecosystem. To date, approximately 80% of this area has been registered by enterprises to set up Research and Development (R&D) offices, co-coordinate training programs, transfer technology, and conduct direct recruitment.

This physical presence allows real-world business challenges from the market to be brought directly into the lecture halls for faculty and students to solve together. At the same time, it facilitates the rapid application of scientific research findings into real life, creating direct value for both enterprises and society.

Three Core Pillars: Technology, Innovation, and Cultural Industries

ICTU’s open ecosystem is built on a multi-disciplinary integration approach, with three mutually reinforcing spearheads:

• High Technology: ICTU is actively strengthening cooperation with major technology corporations to establish specialized training and application labs, most notably the Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC). Here, students gain direct access to core digital technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data, the Internet of Things (IoT), and semiconductor microchips to build solid foundations aligned with industry standards.
• Cultural Industries: The state-of-the-art Digital Studio serves as a modern creative space where lecturers, students, and businesses collaborate to produce media products, 3D animations, and multimedia content. A prime example is the 3D animated film project “Cricket – Adventure to the Muddy Village” (“Dế Mèn – Cuộc phiêu lưu tới Xóm Lầy Lội”), showcasing the powerful combination of education, artistic creativity, and digital production within a university environment.
• Reading Culture Space: This space acts as a crucial bridge connecting academic knowledge with practical business experience, while fostering critical thinking, a lifelong learning spirit, and self-study skills for students in the digital era.

Expanding Opportunities for Learners with a Network of Over 340 Enterprises

One of the vital goals of this cooperation ecosystem is to help students engage with businesses from their very first years at university. ICTU’s ecosystem boasts an extensive network of more than 340 domestic and international enterprises. Prominent corporations such as Samsung Vietnam, Viettel Software, VinFast, Foxconn, MISA, OKX Singapore, Vietnam Digital Studio Joint Stock Company, Minh Viet Group, CinePlus, etc., are closely accompanying the university in training, research, technology transfer, and human resource development.

Thanks to this network, ICTU students are exposed to professional working environments, learn directly from industry experts and engineers, and participate in real-world projects, ensuring they are fully prepared to meet the demanding requirements of the digital-age labor market.
