Special Visit and Teaching Session by Professor Kyong Hoon Kim (KNU) at the Institute of International Training (IIT)

Thai Nguyen – From October 1, 2025, to October 4, 2025, students of class KTPM K23 KNU at the Institute of International Training (IIT) – Thai Nguyen University of Information and Communication Technology (ICTU) had the opportunity to learn directly from Professor Kyong Hoon Kim from Kyungpook National University (KNU), South Korea. This visit and teaching session took place within the framework of the strategic 3+1 joint training program between the two universities.

Focus Subject: “Probability and Statistics”

Over the course of 4 days, Professor Kyong Hoon Kim was directly responsible for teaching the course module “Probability and Statistics” – one of the foundational and core subjects in the fields of Computer Science and Software Engineering.

With extensive teaching and research experience at one of South Korea’s leading universities, Professor Kim delivered vibrant, highly interactive lessons. Students not only gained access to in-depth academic knowledge but also learned about practical application methods of Probability and Statistics in information technology problems, especially in the currently rapidly developing fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Science.

The 3+1 joint program (3 years of study at ICTU, the final year at KNU) is designed to help students:
