Delegation of Staff and Students from the University of Information and Communication Technology (ICTU) on a Visit and Working Trip to Kyungpook National University (KNU), South Korea

On August 28, 2025, a delegation from ICTU visited and worked at Kyungpook National University (KNU) in South Korea. The ICTU delegation included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phung Trung Nghia and Dr. Do Dinh Cuong, Vice Rectors of the university. The KNU representatives included the KNU President, Prof. Young-Woo Heo, along with several other professors and leaders such as Prof. Soon Jung Ki, Prof. Kim Pan Soo, Prof. Yi Hak, and Prof. Kyong-Hoon Kim.

Objectives of the Trip

The trip was aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two universities, focusing on several key areas:

  • Training Cooperation: Expanding international joint training programs in E-commerce and Digital Business Administration.
  • Student Recruitment: Promoting and recruiting for the 3+1 Software Engineering joint training program.
  • Student Exchange: Implementing a student exchange program between ICTU and KNU’s international partners through the GIC-E center.
  • Experience Sharing: Studying and learning from KNU’s model of management, training organization, facilities, and infrastructure for teaching.

Details of the Student Experience Program

In addition to the working visit, an experience and cultural exchange program for 22 ICTU students also took place at KNU from August 27 to 31, 2025.

Student Participants:

  • 10 students from the international 3+1 Software Engineering joint training program.
  • 12 students from the International Information Technology and other standard programs.

Main Activities:

  • Participating in the seminar, “KNU – Study and Career Opportunities,” at the College of Computer Science and Engineering.
  • Engaging in a Vietnam-Korea cultural exchange, sharing study and life experiences in Korea with students from the College of Computer Science and Engineering, KNU.
  • Meeting and interacting with the Vietnamese Student Association in Daegu and current ICTU students studying at KNU.
  • Learning about KNU’s management model and visiting the campus, library, and laboratories.

This working trip and experience program has opened up many new opportunities, consolidated the cooperative relationship between the two universities, and provided valuable experiences for ICTU students.
