Workshop –Building Up Confidence In English Communications And Presentation For Students
In order to improve the ability to use English in communications and learning, on March 22nd 2024, Information and Communications Technology University organized a Workshop on “Building up confidence in English Communications and Presentation in English for students”. Attending the workshop were guest experts, representatives of the School Board of Directors, lecturers and students of the Institute of International Training (IIT), lecturers and students of other faculties at the university.
At the workshop, expert Andrew Langley, lecturer at the Regional English Office, US Embassy (RELO), shared with ICTU students very practical and useful methods to improve confidence in English Communications and Presentation.

In particular, during the workshop, Mr. Vu Duc Thai, Vice Rector of ICTU, awarded a scholarship worth 1.300.000 VND to a student of the IIT – Student Nguyen Hoa Thuan, of Software Engineering Class KNU K20 of the 3+1 International Twinning Program for Software Engineering major between ICTU and Kyungpook National University, Korea. In the recent TOEIC international English certification exam, student Thuan excellently achieved 955/990, this is the highest TOEIC score ever recorded at ICTU. Currently, Thuan and his classmates are completing their last semester in Vietnam and preparing their documents to finish their final year at Kyungpook National University, Korea in September 2024.

Participating in training programs entirely in English of the Institute of International Training creates an extremely ideal environment for students to develop their English skills.
We hope that the workshop will provide the Institute’s students with useful experiences and methods that they can apply to develop their foreign language skills for studying.
