IIT – ICTU is delighted to welcome two promising students from Timor-Leste: Dircia Maria Bento Faria Da Silva and Otília Orleans De Araújo!
The Institute of International Training (IIT) at Thai Nguyen University of Information and Communication Technology (ICTU) is thrilled to announce that two exceptional students from Timor-Leste—Dircia Maria Bento Faria Da Silva and Otília Orleans De Araújo—have successfully passed our rigorous selection process and been admitted into the International Information Technology program (major code: 7480201_QT)!
After a thorough application review and an impressive online interview, both Dircia and Otília left a strong impression on the admissions board.
Dircia Maria Bento Faria Da Silva, a December 2023 graduate of Paulo VI Catholic High School in Dili, Timor-Leste, demonstrated excellence in natural sciences, including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Geology. With a GPA of 7.9 and the “The Best Performance in 2023” award, Dircia also proved her teamwork and leadership skills through extracurricular activities. She is proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and fluent in four languages: English (proficient), Tetum, Portuguese, and Indonesian. Dircia shared her desire to study Informatics at ICTU to contribute to innovative research and the development of sustainable technology solutions.
Otília Orleans De Araújo, also a December 2023 graduate from Externato Sao Jose in Dili, Timor-Leste, impressed the admissions committee with a strong foundation in Mathematics, Physics, and Biology. Otília achieved a GPA of 8.0 and also received the “The Best Performance in 2023” award. Her soft skills, such as leadership, public speaking, and teamwork, were evident through her extracurricular activities and her membership in the University Association. Like Dircia, Otília is also proficient in office software and four languages. Otília expressed her aspiration to contribute to new research and the development of long-term technical solutions.
Both students have a strong passion for and solid analytical abilities in Mathematics, Physics, and Biology. Their problem-solving skills have been proven through various competitions and research projects.
The addition of Dircia and Otília promises to bring an exciting new dynamic to IIT, helping to diversify our learning and working environment. This is an excellent opportunity for both Vietnamese and international students to connect, learn from each other, and grow together in a vibrant and creative academic setting.
