Female Students from ICTU’s International Training Institute Join Meaningful Experience and Talk Show at VinFast Hai Phong Automobile Factory
On October 3, 2025, female students from the International Training Institute (ITI) of the Thai Nguyen University of Information and Communication Technology (ICTU) participated in a practical field trip and talk show at the VinFast Automobile Factory in Hai Phong.
The program is part of a cooperation project between VinFast – the Asian Development Bank (ADB) – and the University of the Sunshine Coast (Australia). [cite_start]Its goal is to encourage and support female students pursuing STEM fields, especially as Vietnam is strongly shifting towards electric vehicles and green mobility.
Key activities of the delegation at VinFast:
- Visiting, studying, and engaging at the VinFast Training Center and Automated Stamping Workshop.
- Attending a talk show on the theme “Female Students in Vietnam’s Transition to Electric Vehicles” with experts in the electric vehicle sector.
The ICTU student delegation, including many female students from the International Training Institute, actively participated in the talk show. The students shared their perspectives on the role of women in shaping the future of the electric vehicle industry and proposed various technological solutions to make electric vehicles greener and more sustainable, aiming for clean and sustainable energy development in Vietnam.
Project Contributions and Support for ICTU Students:
Specifically in 2025, the project supported 11 female ICTU students with a 2-month internship at VinFast, with total financial support nearing 140 million VND. These students gained valuable experience in a professional, modern working environment and are now confidently employed at major corporations such as Samsung, Foxconn, Geortek, DKT Vina, Shinwon, and others.
Participating Students from the International Training Institute:
A total of 30 female ICTU students participated in the program, with 15 students from the International Training Institute specializing mainly in International Information Technology and Software Engineering.
Some representative students from the International Training Institute who participated include:
- Quan Thi Hien Thu (Software Engineering, Class KTPM KNU K22).
- Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan (International Information Technology, Class CNTT QT K23A).
- Bui Thu Huong (International Information Technology, Class CNTT QT K22B).
- Tran Thi Huyen Trang (International Information Technology, Class CNTT QT K22B).
- Luong Vu Anh (International Information Technology, Class CNTT QT K24B).
