IIT STUDENTS CELEBRATE THE TRADITIONAL VIETNAMESE LUNAR NEW YEAR 2026

To help international students (IS) gain a deeper understanding of the traditional cultural beauties of Vietnam, Thai Nguyen University of Information and Communication Technology (ICTU) is organizing a special celebration for the Lunar New Year of the Wood Snake 2026.

This annual event is a heartwarming tradition designed to provide spiritual encouragement and a sense of “home away from home” for our international community during Vietnam’s most important festival.

🕒 Event Details:

  • Time: 3:00 PM, Thursday, February 5th, 2026.
  • Location: 5th Floor Hall, C1 Building.

🧧 Program Highlights:

The program promises an afternoon filled with emotional and cultural exchange:

  • Tet Gift Giving: University leaders and the Liaison Committee of Volunteer Veterans and Experts in Laos (Thai Nguyen province) will present Tet gifts to all international students and English for Communications students.
  • Cultural Performances: Get ready for an explosion of talent with 03 performances by international students, 02 by English for Communications students, and 03 special acts from the Veteran Liaison Committee.
  • Keynote Speeches: Featuring insights from Dr. Nguyen Duy Minh (University Representative) and Mr. Duong Manh Viet (Veteran Liaison Committee).
  • Student Voices: Heartfelt speeches from representatives of both the international student body and the English for Communications department.

🛡️ Holiday Support & Safety:

To ensure all international students have a safe and joyful holiday, IIT is collaborating closely with the Department of Science, Technology & International Cooperation, the Dormitory Management Board, and the Health Center. Dedicated staff will be on duty throughout the Tet break to provide security and medical support whenever needed.
