JOB OPPORTUNITIES IN THE IT INDUSTRY: GLOBAL INTEGRATION FROM A BUSINESS PERSPECTIVE
On the afternoon of June 10, 2024, the Institute of International Training – University of Information Technology and Communications (ICTU-IIT) successfully organized a seminar “Job opportunities in the IT industry: Global integration from a business perspective “. The event gathered the presence of experts and employers and attracted more than 200 students majoring in technology, along with representatives of the School Board of Directors, representatives of the Youth Union, the Student Association, departmental leaders and faculty members.
As part of a series of career orientation events, the seminar provided valuable insights and practical perspectives from technology companies on employment opportunities in the current global integration context.
Speaker Pham Trong Khang – CEO of EcomElite Technology Company, and a former student of ICTU’s 10th cohort, shared interesting insights into his successful entrepreneurial journey. From a student studying Information Technology at ICTU, he built EcomElite into a leading Shopify platform product development company, serving over 120,000 customers worldwide. At the event, he shared valuable information with students about identifying passions, making continuous efforts to enrich knowledge, specialized skills, and preparing for international career opportunities.

Also at the seminar, speaker Dinh Hong Duong – Technical Solution Lead at FPT USA, New York, provided the perspective of a leading technology company on the impact of globalization trends and the VUCA era on the IT labor market. At the same time, he shared valuable experiences on key skills for students to adapt and thrive in a professional, multicultural working environment. Both speakers emphasized the importance of English in the IT field. This is also one of the main goals that the International Training Institute has been and is aiming for, to build an international learning environment – helping students to be proficient in English for future work.
Speaker Dinh Hong Duong – Former ICTU student of the 5th cohort. Currently an expert and leader of the technology solutions team of FPT Corporation. He is currently working at FPT branch in the US.
With practical insights from speakers from pioneering IT companies, the seminar attracted special attention from a large number of students. The lively exchange took place in a friendly and professional atmosphere, providing valuable information for students in career orientation and preparing necessary tools to access job opportunities in the digital age.
Through events such as “IT Job Opportunities: Global Integration from the Business Perspective,” the International Training Institute – School of Information Technology & Telecommunications once again reaffirms its commitment to training high-quality human resources, meeting the increasing demands from technology companies in the context of international integration. Practical activities, closely linked to reality, will continue to be organized regularly by ICTU-IIT, contributing to enhancing students’ skills, unleashing their potential to seize career opportunities both domestically and internationally.
