🎉 Strengthening International Cooperation: Kyungpook National University (KNU), South Korea Visits and Works with ICTU

On Wednesday, November 5, 2025, the Information and Communication Technology University (ICTU) was honored to welcome a delegation from Kyungpook National University (KNU), South Korea, for a visit and working session within the framework of international cooperation between the two institutions.

🤝 Delegation Information and Working Schedule

The event took place at the 5th Floor Hall, C1 building, ICTU.

👥 KNU Delegation

The KNU delegation was led by Prof. SONG SEOKMIN, Director of KNU’s Office of International Affairs (OIA). Accompanying him were Ms. PARK YUJIN, OIA Coordinator, and Ms. PARK EONJU, Interpreter.

🎓 ICTU Delegation

Representing ICTU at the working session were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phung Trung Nghia – Rector, Dr. Nguyen Van Nui – Head of the Division of Science – Technology & International Collaboration, Ms. Duong Thi Hong An – Vice Head of the Division of Science – Technology & International Collaboration, and Dr. Nguyen Thi Mai Phuong – Director of the Institute of International Training.

📝 Program Content and Opportunities for Students

After the KNU delegation arrived at the ICTU campus, the detailed working program proceeded as follows:

  • 14:00 – 14:30: The KNU delegation visited the GIC-E Center and toured the ICTU campus facilities.
  • 14:30 – 15:30: Official Welcome Ceremony chaired by the ICTU Rector. Both sides introduced the Information and Communication Technology University (ICTU) and Kyungpook National University (KNU), respectively. Notably, KNU introduced its twinning programs, combined programs, student exchange programs, Master’s (MA) scholarships, and summer courses for students and trainees.
  • 15:30 – 15:55: Lively Question and Answer (Q&A) session.

The working session was also attended by ICTU-KNU twinning students, ICTU students who have participated in the KNU exchange program, high-school students from Dao Duy Tu and Edison high schools, and newly graduated students interested in MA courses at KNU. This provided an opportunity for students and pupils to directly exchange and learn more about international study opportunities at KNU.

📷 Conclusion and Cooperation Prospects

The program concluded with a group photo of the two delegations and all participants. The working session was a great success, opening up many opportunities for deeper cooperation in education and scientific research between ICTU and KNU, bringing practical benefits to students and lecturers of both universities.
